Timothy C. Wong, Ph.D (Chinese: 黃宗泰; pinyin: Huáng Zōngtài; Wade–Giles: Huang Tsung-t'ai, born January 24, 1941) is a sinologist, translator, and literary theorist.
Dr. Wong received his Ph.D from Stanford University. He has taught at The Ohio State University and at Arizona State University, Tempe, where he has held the title of Professor of Chinese since 1995. He was also the Director of the Center for Asian Studies at Arizona State University from 1995 to 2002.[1]
Prof. Wong is currently on the faculty in the Department of Languages and Literatures at ASU, where he teaches classes on Chinese literature (including fiction) and graduate level seminars in selected areas of sinology. In addition to this, he has served as director of the graduate and undergraduate programs in Asian languages and literatures.[1]
